Julie Roberts - “Good Wine & Bad Decisions” (Sun Records/Red River Entertainment):

A sultry and powerful return to form for one of the format’s most underrated vocalists.

Toby Keith - “Shut Up & Hold On” (Show Dog-Universal):

Get your funk on! Mr. Keith has a hit on his hands!

Mandy Barnett - “Oh, Lonesome Me” (Cracker Barrel/Rounder):

A stirring tribute to one of Nashville’s greatest songwriters – from one of Nashville’s greatest singers.

Sturgill Simpson - “You Can Have The Crown: (Thirty Tigers):

Energetic hillbilly romp that you just don’t hear the likes of anymore, unfortunately.

Kip Moore - “Young Love” (MCA Nashville):

Rootsy and organic sounding song with a blues edge. Will fit right in with the format.

Luke Bryan - “Drink A Beer” (Capitol Nashville):

If you have thought some of Bryan’s most recent material was lightweight, you won’t here. The record of his career. I’ve been waiting nine months to say that.

Eric Church - “The Outsiders” (EMI Nashville):

Well, it is envelope pushing.

Irene Kelley - Better With Time (Independent):

Makes me long for the days when we heard traditional female singers on the radio. Good stuff!

Jason Aldean - “When She Says Baby” (Broken Bow Records):

Maybe one of Aldean’s strongest ballad performances yet. It’s been a crowd favorite for a while, and should soar.

Avicii featuring Dan Tyminski of Union Station - “Hey Brother” (Interscope Records):

Interesting vocal mix. I started off not liking it too much, but warmed up by the mid-way point. Infectious.

Bubba Sparxxx Feat. Rodney Atkins - “Right” (Backroads/Average Joes):

Flows really well. Atkins has been missed at radio.

Corey Smith - “Ain’t Going Out Tonight”(Undertones/Razor & Tie):

Well written tune about the changing of life’s priorities. I think we all can identify.
