Love and Theft's Stephen Barker Liles Explains Name for Unborn Son

In less than a month, Stephen Barker Liles of Love and Theft will be a first-time father and discusses exclusively with Roughstock why he and his fiance -- Jenna Kennedy -- chose the soon to be born child's name. Continue here for all of the exclusive details.

In less than a month, Stephen Barker Liles (pictured on the right above) of Love and Theft will be a first-time daddy. As he chips away at making the next Love and Theft record with duo partner Eric Gunderson, he is also spending plenty of time at home with mommy-to-be Jenna Kennedy, preparing for the arrival of their son, Jett Barker Liles.

Liles and Kennedy chose Jett Barker Liles for their son for multiple reasons ... but mainly because it's cool!

"Barker is my mom’s maiden name, and that’s my middle name, so I’m carrying it on in the family since I’m having a son," Liles tells Roughstock. "I wanted him to be a Barker Liles as well. It’s like a double last name for me. Then Jett is a name that I love. I personally don’t know any Jett’s, and it’s one of my favorite names. I was hoping nobody would name their kid Jett any time soon. Nobody did that I know of personally, so that worked out good. He will have a cool name. He better be fast with a name like that! Or he better be able to fly! I hope he flies."

"I hope he comes out with wings," agrees Gunderson.

Little Jett is expected to arrive on December 3, just in time for Christmas.
