Country Album Chart News: The Week of November 6, 2013: Duck Dynasty's The Robertson Family Score #1 Album With "Duck The Halls" Christmas Recording

If you recognize these guys pictured above, then you're probably a fan of Duck Dyansty, A&E network's popular program which features the Robertson Family's Duck Commander business and lives. The show has now sprung the #1 Country Music album this week. Get all the details for the Top 10 here!

They have the #1 TV Show on Cable TV and a massive following so it’s not surprising that Duck Dynasty’s The Robertson Family land at #1 with their Duck The Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas album for EMI Records Nashville. The collection of Christmas songs from the family (and guests like George Strait, Luke Bryan and Alison Krauss) sold nearly 70,000 copies in its first week and is likely to be a huge holiday seller this shopping season with Deluxe editions available at Walmart, a cool limited-edition ZinePak and a 15 track CD, other stores get 14 tracks. (The bonus track? Willie Robertson’s “Santa Looked A Lot Like Daddy”), one of three songs on the collection featuring the CEO of the family’s Duck Commander business.

The #2 album this week is The Valory Music Co.’s Thomas Rhett with his It Goes Like This album. The 12 track album features “Beer With Jesus,” “Something To Do With My Hands,” new single “Get Me Some Of That” and the chart-topping, Platinum-selling title track. Next up, is Toby Keith’s yearly release, Drinks After Work. The album contains the popular title track and new single “Shut Up And Hold On,” a single already making waves at radio. Keith’s album is available in a pair of deluxe versions with the Walmart Exclusive ZinePak containing 64 pages with exclusive inteviews, recipes for his WildShot Mezcal and Custom Drink Coasters. Sitting at #4 this week is last week’s #1, Luke Bryan’s Crash My Party. The album is already well over Platinum and features the #1 Platinum hits “That’s My Kind Of Night,” and “Crash My Party” and new and future big hit “Drink A Beer,” a poignant song about coping with an unexpected loss. Rounding out the Top 5 is Florida Georgia Line’s Here’s To The Good Times. The album is set to release a Deluxe edition later this month but that hasn’t stopped fans from purchasing the album which is the best-selling album (total numbers) on this week’s Top 10 albums report (Carrie underwood’s “Blown Away” holds that title for all of the albums noted this week).

Scotty McCreery’s sophomore album See You Tonight brings fans to the store and leads the second half of Country Music’s Top 10 Best-selling Albums this week.

Scotty McCreery’s “See You Tonight” -- the single -- may only be breaking into the Top 30 right now at radio but the album which shares it’s name has steadily been Top 10 (with a #1 debut) since being released 3 weeks ago. The album has sold 83,000 copies in those three weeks. Willie Nelson’s fantastic To All The Girls… compilation (Which features singers like Miranda Lambert, Emmylou Harris and Carrie Underwood) remains one of his best-selling albums in years and it too stays inside the Top 10 of our rundown for a third week in a row. The album has now moved nearly 53,000 copies to date. Blake Shelton’s Platinum-certified Based On A True Story… (it’s also a CMA Nominated album) sits at #7 with sales increasing 4% over last week with totals at 939k scanned to date. At #8 is his protege Cassadee Pope with Frame By Frame. In four weeks Cassadee has moved over 67,000 copies of the album which features Gold-selling Top 30 single “Wasting All These Tears.” Rounding out the Top 10 once-again this week is Alan Jackson’s #1 Bluegrass album, cleverly titled The Bluegrass Album. The recording has now sold 61,000 copies without the benefit of radio airplay outside of SiriusXM’s “Bluegrass Junction.”

CMA Nominee Kelly Clarkson’s Wrapped In Red debuts high on Charts, Hunter Hayes Scores sales increase for Platinum debut album.

Hunter Hayes has sold another 5,000 copies of his self-titled debut album, which is enough for the album to have a sales increase of 6% this week. Hayes’ Music Video for “Everybody’s Got Somebody But Me” was released last week and features the singer’s friend Jason Mraz (they’ll perform it on tonight’s CMA Awards too). Chris Young shifts 5k of his latest album A.M. to bring sales over 105k total the same week he hits the Top 5 with the lead single “Aw Naw.” Trace Adkins’ first album for an indie label -- the Celtic Christmas record The King’s Gift -- is available now and sold over 4,000 copies last week. Carrie Underwood’s Blown Away sits next on our rundown and has moved over 1.557 million copies to date. The singer’s album is nominated for CMA Album of the Year tonight. Lee Brice’s breakout album finds the CMA Nominee less than 30k away from a Gold-certified album. Rounding out our rundown are a pair of bonus albums, Brandy Clark’s fantastic 12 Stories (she’s nominated for Song of the Year for writing “Mama’s Broken Heart” with Kacey Musgraves and Shane McAnally) and CMA Female Vocalist and Vocal Event nominee Kelly Clarkson’s brand new Wrapped Up In Red Christmas album, a dream come true album for Clarkson that finds the newlywed with one of 2013’s most ‘buzzworthy’ yuletide releases.
