Paisley is gearing up to release his fourth single from his Wheelhouse album titled "The Mona Lisa."
Fans were able to hear the tune on television recently when Paisley performed it on the 47th Annual CMA Awards earlier this month. But everyone will have their shot at hearing the new song on country radio starting December 9 when it goes for official adds.
Penned by Paisley and frequent collaborator Chris DuBois, the driving, feel-good love song was inspired when Paisley had the chance to see the masterpiece several years ago, and he says that one exciting element of the song came courtesy of his fans.
When Paisley was heading into the studio to record the song, he decided to add a little something extra to the track ... his fans! “In the big refrain to ‘The Mona Lisa,’ there are actually 10,000 people recorded live in Saratoga Springs, New York," Paisley says. "In concert, I said, ‘Who wants to be on the new album,’ and what you hear at the end of the song is the audience singing the ‘whoas.’ So if you live in Saratoga Springs, and you were at our concert last time, you made the album!”
Paisley will also perform “The Mona Lisa” when he appears on the fourth annual American Country Awards, airing live onTuesday, December 10, at 8:00PM ET (tape-delayed PT), on the FOX network.Brad Paisley to Release New Single “The Mona Lisa” on December 9
