With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, country stars are doing their part in helping give back to the cause, including Jason Aldean's annual Concert for the Cure event that benefits the Susan G. Komen organization. Aldean will headline his 8th Annual Concert for the Cure, this year taking place in New Orleans, LA for his October 25 performance at the New Orleans Arena on his highly-successful Night Train Tour.
The proceeds raised from that particular show will go directly to the New Orleans' local Susan G. Komen Affiliate, which is in addition to the 50 cents of each concert ticket sold throughout the year that also benefits the cause very near to Aldean's heart.
"Last year, the Komen New Orleans team needed a little over $1 million to meet all their needs, but they were only able to fund about half of that," says Aldean. "If we raise the half a million that we did last year in Dallas we'll be able to help these women meet their goal and provide the services the town needs. I can't wait to see an arena full of pink in support of such a great cause!"
Aldean is currently celebrating a second week atop the Billboard chart with his 12th No. one single, "Night Train." Additionally, has three nominations for the Nov. 6 CMA Awards, including his third consecutive Entertainer of the Year nod. He is also up for Male Vocalist of the Year and Musical Event of the Year for "The Only Way I Know," featuring Luke Bryan and Eric Church.
