“Crash My Party” Remains #1 on the Country Music charts and Top 5 all genre, over 847k in four weeks on the charts.
Crash My Party keeps Luke Bryan at the top of the Country Album sales chart for another week but he’ll be replaced next week by Keith Urban’s Fuse. Blake Shelton’s Based On A True Story gained 70% in sales last week to bring total sales to 876k sold to date while Florida Georgia Line’s latest album Here’s To The Good Times sits at #3 with sales of nearly 1.07 million copies. “Stay” will be the follow-up single to “Round Here,” the latter song of which is currently #1 on the radio airplay charts (and Gold certified). #4 is the Show Dog-Universal compilation Alabama & Friends. The tribute (with assist by Alabama) has sold 47,000 copies in two weeks. Not bad. Luke’s previous studio album Tailgates & Tanlines has now sold 2.135 million copies and sits at #5 for the fourth week and rounds out this week’s rundown.
Darius Rucker Still In Top 10, which is rejoined by Kenny Chesney’s Life On A Rock.
Darius Rucker continues to have one of Country Music’s best-selling albums with sales now over 350k for True Believers. The single “Wagon Wheel” yesterday scored two CMA Awards Nominations, including the first such nomination for Bob Dylan, one of the songs two writers. Jason Aldean’s “Night Train” and Taylor Swift’s CMA Awards-Nominated RED album swap spots on the chart this week. Taylor has now moved3.807 million copies of RED while Aldena has moved 1.41 million copies of Night Train (the title track is the third single from the album). Kenny Chesney jumps back into the Top 10 with Life On A Rock while Hunter Hayes (who didn’t get any CMA Awards nominations) rounds out the Top 10.
The Lacs lead notable albums while Frank Foster, Craig Morgan, Reckless Kelly and Chris Janson debut with their new albums and/or EPs.
The Lacs continue to have one of the best-selling country music albums with sales for their third Average Joes Entertainment album Keep It Redneck at 27k. Meanwhile, there are four new albums that gain our gaze this week, starting with heretofore unknown Frank Foster, a DYI artist who should have the attention of Nashville with his 11th best-selling album in all of Country Music this week, it actually outsold Craig Morgan’s The Journey (Livin Hits), an aritst with a much higher profile. Roots rockers Reckless Kelly debut with 4,000 fans taking home their latest album Long Night Moon while Chris Janson’s debut EP (“Chris Janson EP”) sold 1,000 copies to debut on the Country Album Sales chart *but not the Top 200*.
