Country Album Chart News: The Week of September 18, 2013: Keith Urban Lights Fuse, Debuts at #1; Sheryl Crow at "Home" at #3

Keith Urban's return to the charts hits #1 with Fuse, just the latest in a string of #1 country albums but first since 2009's Defying Gravity. Sheryl Crow also debuts while Luke Bryan and Other stars like Carrie Underwood fill out the Top 10 and Five Notable album's rundown. Complete details here.

Keith Urban Scores His fourth Country #1 and While #2 on SoundScan, Keith scores Billboard #1 for just the 2nd time in his career, all for Fuse. Sheryl Crow debuts in Soundscan Top 10 with Feels Like Home.

Keith may not have sold nearly as well as he did two years ago with Get Closer but the superstar and American Idol judge scored a respective 98,000 copies sold this week to clearly outsell Country’s #2 album of the week, Luke Bryan’s Crash My Party the nearly Platinum record has sold 900k in 5 weeks on the charts and this is its first week outside of #1. Sitting at #3 is Sheryl Crow’s first all-country album Feels Like Home. The album sold 37k in its first week, a strong showing for the singer’s first all-country album collection. Sitting at #4 this week is the Platinum-certified Here’s To The Good Times from Florida Georgia Line and at #5 is Blake Shelton’s Based On A True Story.

Alabama And Friends continues strong sales to lead Top 10 Country Albums chart.

The star-studded Alabama-assisted tribute album Alabama & Friends sits at #6 while Jason Aldean’s Night Train is at #7 with Taylor Swift’s RED at #8. Luke Bryan’s Taillights and Tanlines is #9 and sitting at #10 is Darius Rucker’s True Believers, a record which has sold 355k to date.

Hunter Hayes self-titled debut album leads notables along with Carrie Underwood’s CMA Nominated Blown Away.

Hunter Hayes once again finds his name on our Top Country Albums chart rundown with his Platinum-certifed self-titled debut. The Lacs continue to sit on our rundown with the 31k-selling Keep It Redneck. That’s a strong number for an indie band without mainstream radio exposure. Meanwhile, Carrie Underwood’s Blown Away comtinues to move well past the 1.53 million sold mark. Tim McGraw’s first Big Machine Records album, Two Lanes Of Freedom has now scanned 421k copies and is certain to hit Gold sometime soon, maybe this Holiday season. Finally, Lee Brice’s Hard 2 Love gained in sales this week to bring him to 454k sold, incing the rising star to his first Gold-certified album.
