Single Review: Morgan Frazier - Hey Bully

Morgan Frazier has teamed with Sherrie Austin and Tiffany Goss to write a personal new song that brings a light to an epidemic in the USA: bullying. Take a look to see what our writer Ashley Cooke has to say about the new single from the Sidewalk Records artist.

“Why, why… you want to make me cry, you don’t even know who I am and if you gave me just a half a chance, we just might have been friends.”  The song, is about a person who is clearly troubled too, but has handled it differently. Understands there is a different way to deal with your feelings, than lashing out and hurting someone physically or emotionally - Being the bigger and better person instead. “It would be so easy to hit back at you, use my pain to hurt you too, but if I do, nothing will change, I won’t be a link in your chain.”

There’s a powerful message about taking the higher road, and being the smarter person. Understanding the consequences of your actions. The old saying is, “Sticks and stones, will break my bones, but words will never hurt me,”  and it is wrong, all wrong. Words do hurt, and the more people realize that, the better off this place will be.
