Keith Urban Returns To American Idol For 2014 Season

Country Music will remain on Fox TV's American Idol in 2014 as Country music star Keith Urban is officially back with the television program as one of the judges and the only one of last season's four judges to be retained after the dysfunctional season.

Urban previously appeared alongside fellow judges Randy Jackson, Nicki Minaj, and Mariah Carey for the 2013 season ofAmerican Idol. It has not yet been announced who he'll be sharing the judges' table with this time around.

American Idol has helped launch the careers of Country stars such as Carrie Underwood, Kellie Pickler, Bucky Covington, and Scotty McCreery, just to name a few, while Season 12 runner-up Kree Harrison is currently climbing the Country charts with her debut single "All Cried Out."

Season 13 auditions are currently taking place, and will wrap on August 11. The new season of American Idol will premiereJanuary 15, 2014 on CBS. Urban previously was a judge on The Voice Australia prior to joining American Idol.
