With radio airplay for Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise” at their peak a couple of weeks ago, the long-running #1 single has begun its descent from the position, but not before it continues to craft new records and eventually reach 6m downloads (2,000,000 of those from the Remix alone).
Florida Georgia Line’s Cruise has sold nearly 5.5 million copies and still sits at #1 but it is quickly descending the chart. Meanwhile Luke Bryan’s “Crash My Party” sits at #2 with sales at nearly, 1.2 million. That’s a number for which Hunter Hayes’ “I Want Crazy” has nearly reached as well. This week’s Airplay chart #1, “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight” from Randy Houser, sits at #4 on this week’s Digital Singles Sales chart with sales now over 800k. He’s well on his way to Platinum, something that would be a first for Houser on his own singles (“How Country Feels” is a Gold single with sales at 830k to date). Finally, rounding out the Top 5 is Blake Shelton’s soon to be double platinum hit “Boys Round Here.”
Tyler Farr “Redneck Crazy” is Gold, Thomas Rhett not that far behind. “Round Here” From Florida Georgia Line Surpasses Gold Soon.
New artists continue to make waves on the Top 30 Digital Country Singles Chart with Florida Georgia Line - instant superstars just on their third single - staring at more Gold with “Round Here” while Thomas Rhett’s fast approaching Gold with “It Goes Like This. Darius Rucker’s 2x Platinum “Wagon Wheel” is at #8 followed by the Newly-certified RIAA Gold single (and Top 10 Airplay hit) “Redneck Crazy” for Tyler Farr. Jason Aldean’s rising hit “Night Train” sits at #10 to round out the cart.
Carrie Underwood “See You Again” is Gold; Notable Singles Include “Aw Naw” from Chris Young, Tim McGraw’s “Southern Girl”, and Blake Shelton’s “Mine Would Be You.”
Carrie Underwood’s “See You Again” wound up selling nearly 28k downloads this week, a number which was enough for “See You Again” to surpass the Gold sales mark and make the single eligible for RIAA certifiaction. Lee Brice’s “Parking Lot Party” gained 15% over last week’s sales to bring sales to nearly 300k while fellow young gun Chris Young’s “Aw Naw” gained 11% to bring sales over 206k. Tim McGraw and Blake SHelton’s new singles “Southern Girl” and “Mine Would Be You” are this week’s risers of the week. They both jumped into the Top 20 after only one week in the Top 30. New/returning tracks on this week’s chart include Cassadee Pope’s “Wasting All These Tears.” It sits at #25 while Joe Nichols’ “Sunny And 75” sits at #27. Finally, Eli Young Band returns to the Top 30 after a couple of week’s absence with their new hit “Drunk Last Night.”
