Hunter Hayes "I Want Crazy" and Self-titled debut album certified Platinum

Hunter Hayes has just struck platinum twice. His self-titled Atlantic debut album and his current hit single "I Want Crazy" (which is gearing up to hit number one) have both received platinum certification from the RIAA. Read on for more information about his latest news.

The deluxe edition release Hunter Hayes (Encore) is holding steady in the Top 5 on the sales charts while "I Want Crazy" has topped the iTunes Country singles chart every week since its release.

In other Hunter Hayes news, he will soon be heading out for his first overseas shows in Japan and Thailand. Hayes will be appearing with Jason Mraz at the Sonic Bang Festival in Bangkok on August 24 and at Studio Coast Tokyo on August 26, as well as performing with his own band at Tower Records Shibuya August 28 and at Tower Records Osaka August 29.
