Country Chart News - The Top 30 Digital Singles - July 17, 2013: FGL "Cruise" 5x Platinum, Lady Antebellum "Downtown", Luke Bryan "Crash My Party" Platinum

There's not much change to report on this week's Top 30 Digital Singles report but we can tell you that Florida Georgia Line have two songs in the Top 5 and three songs inside the Top 20, the only artist to achieve this feat. They also secured a major Platinum mark as did Luke and Lady A. Details Next!

Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise” once-again holds the pole position on the chart selling another 158k downloads of the track with sales now eclipsing 5x Platinum. Luke Bryan is Platinum with his smash “Crash My Party” single.

The Top 5 songs are once-again the same with Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise” now surpassing the 5x download mark to ensure a Quintuple Platinum certification for their breakout hit (all within the past year). Blake Shelton’s “Boys ‘Round Here” looks heading towards Double Platinum at some point with sales now over 1.6m while Hunter Hayes’ “I Want Crazy” will surpass Platinum sales mark next week, a mark which will soon happen for his debut Hunter Hayes/(ENCORE) album as well. Speaking of Platinum, the #5 song on this week’s chart is the most-played Radio single in the land. Luke Bryan has now sold over 1m downloads of “Crash My Party,” his title tune to the upcoming fourth studio album for Capitol Records.

“Round Here” from Florida Georgia Line, Brett Eldredge’s “Don’t Ya” and Tyler Farr’s “Redneck Crazy” Among Top 10 Singles.

With a sales increase of 7% (the only Top single to have a sales increase this week), Florida Georgia Line’s “Round Here” sits at #6. Right behind them is Randy Houser’s “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight, a track which is Top 10 on the Radio with sales at 650k while Brett Eldredge’s break-out Top 10 radio airplay hit “Don’t Ya” has now sold 479k and will hit Gold next week, a mark that’s going to be a first for the up and coming singer. “Redneck Crazy” sits at #9 this week and it, too, is the breakout hit for its singer/songwriter Tyler Farr. Farr has now sold over 407k copies of the title track to his upcoming debut album. Finally, Lee Brice returns to the Top 10 with the fourth single from soon to be Gold album Hard 2 Love. “Parking Lot Party” is one of 2013’s biggest summer hits and the track has now sold 214k tracks and likely will join the previous 3 #1 hits from the album in the Gold/Platinum sales rankings.

Riser of the Week: Jason Aldean’s “Night Train.” Notables include Keith Urban “Little Bit of Everything” and Justin Moore’s “Point At You.”

With sales of 260k, Thomas Rhett’s break-out hit “It Goes Like This” continues to sit just outside the Top 12. Carrie Underwood has now sold 415k copies of her latest hit “See You Again” and it’s very likely to join every other official radio single of her career (except “Don’t Forget To Remember Me”) as a RIAA Certified Gold, Platinum or multi-Platinum single. Jake Owen surpassed the 600k sales mark with “Anywhere With You,” his fourth-consecutive Gold or Platinum-selling single. Jason Aldean’s latest radio hit “Night Train” -- also the title to his latest Platinum-selling album -- jumps into the Top 30 at #22 with a sales increase of 44%. Right behind him is Chris Young’s “Aw Naw” and Brad Paisley’s soon-to-be-Gold “Beat This Summer.” Finally, in our rundown, Justin Moore returns to the chart with “Point At You” the lead single to his upcoming September album release (the third album of his career).

Outside The Top 30 Notes:

  • Cole Swindell -- who signed a major label deal this week -- has now sold 115k of “Chillin’ It” and should have a nice swift rise up this and the Radio Airplay chart. He sits at #33.

  • Toby Keith’s “Drinks After Work” sits at #34.

  • Blackjack Billy is at #36 with “The Booze Cruise” (69k sold in 9 weeks).

  • Craig Campbell’s “Outta My Head” is right behind it with sales at 97k.
