Skaggs and White reportedly have five songs already completed, and are hoping to have the album ready to be released early next year. They debuted some of their new music at the Skaggs Family Records booth at the 2013 CMA Music Festival in June. In addition, Sharon White will be joining her husband onstage at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium this Thursday night as Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder perform for Springer Mountain Farms' "Bluegrass Nights At The Ryman" concert series - an event which may afford a further sneak peak at the couple's upcoming project.

In other Ricky Skaggs news, his autobiography Kentucky Traveler: My Life In Music, will be hitting stores August 13.  Of his new book, Skaggs says, “I know more about myself now than I’ve ever known before, ever.  It’s amazing how - when you go back and start reminiscing and thinking of your childhood - what a story it is.  We gave them a lot to work with.  It’s a great book."

Tickets for Thursday night's Ryman Auditorium show are priced at $27.50, and can be purchased at www.ryman.com.
