Country Album Chart News: The Week of July 24, 2013: Travis Tritt, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Hunter Hayes, Mud Digger 4

Florida Georgia Line once again retains the pole position on this week's Top 10 Country Albums chart rundown. Read on to see where Hunter Hayes, The Band Perry, Taylor Swift, George Strait and JJ Lawhorn place on this week's chart and to see 5 notable albums as well!

Florida Georgia Line Sales Up, stay at #1 on Roughstock’s Top 10 Country Album Sales Chart this week.

 

It’s another week at the top for Florida Georgia Line and Here’s To The Good Times as the top 5 albums (and the Top 10 for that matter) remains the same as last week. It’s just a slow few weeks on the chart. The FGL album is about a month away from scanning past the Platinum mark. Blake Shelton’s Based On A True Story... is now at 763k sold while Darius Rucker’s True Believers has now sold 280k. Sitting at #4 is Hunter Hayes with his self-titled album (it’s at 895k sold) while Taylor Swift rounds out the Top 5 with Red. She’s now sold 3.75m copies of the album.

Lady Antebellum, George Strait lead the #6-#10 slots on this week chart with Golden and Love Is Everything, respectively.

The second half of this week’s Roughstock Top 10 Country Albums chart features Lady Antebellum’s Golden at #6, with The Band Perry’s Pioneer moving 8k this week to gain 20% in sales over last week to land at #7. Jason Aldean’s 1.35 million selling album Night Train, is at #8 this week while at #9 is Now Country 6. Finally, Sitting at #10 is the latest record from George Strait -- his 55th -- Love Is Everything.

Notable albums include rising stars Kacey Musgraves, while JJ Lawhorn, Jason Isbell and Joey+Rory’s new albums debut on our chart.

Kacey Musgraves and Eric Church lead our notable albums section this week while Average Joes entertainment’s JJ Lawhorn leads the newcomers on this chart. His Orginal Good Ol Boy sold 4,000 copies to place on the chart along with the latest album from indie Country Rocker Jason Isbell landing just ahead of it. Finally, Joey+Rory’s inspirational album rounds out our notable albums chart this week with 3,000 copies of the Gaither Gospel Series release.
