Easton Corbin Makes "Smart" Choice By Already Plotting Next Studio Album

While Easton Corbin is only two singles deep into his All Over the Road album that hit stores in the fall of 2012, the country star is already looking down the "road" to album No. 3! Read on here to find out more about the artist's process towards creating his albums.

"I think that's the smart thing to do," Corbin tells Roughstock. "You should because its so easy to get caught up in what you're doing right now. When it's time to make another record, it sneaks up on you. I think constantly writing and looking for new and better songs should always be on the table."

Corbin notes that just between his self-titled debut record and the All Over the Road collection, there has been significant changes in his sound and style, as he is always evolving artistically.
"I think this [latest] record shows a little bit of [how I've evolved as an artist], especially with a song called 'Are you With Me,'" Corbin points out. "It's a little different than what I'm used to ... the melody is a little different, and the arrangement's a little different. When I first heard it, I thought that song's different, butit's a country song, it's just the way you produce it and the way you arrange it. I think [my producer] Carson did a great job. He was very instrumental in making that song work for me. "I definitely see growth [between those two albums]," Corbin continues. "I think this record is just as country as the other one; it's just a little bit different. I think every record you do and every song that you record -- no matter if you've written it or you get the song from somebody else -- I think there's a little bit of you in all of that, whether it be the melody or the subject matter of the song. That's really what I look for when I find a song. It's got to be something I relate to, because I feel like if I can relate to it, my fans can relate to it too."

Corbin's current single is the album's title track, "All Over the Road."
