Danielle Bradbery Crowned Champion of "The Voice" Season 4

Prior to performing at the Blind Auditions, Danielle Bradberry had never sung in front of a crowd. The precocious teen grew up before our eyes and ended up winning the whole dang show tonight. Read on to see our thoughts about her win and what comes next for her and her fellow finalists.

In a season that was heavily country music centric, it was easy to predict that a Country singer would win the show, as the show's Top 6 featured 4 country artists then the top 5 featured 4 country artists and the top 3 featured two. Tonight, Danielle Bradbery took home Season 4's trophy (she actually got a trophy) and joins Cassadee Pope as Country winners from Team Blake (though Pope is more Taylor Swift-like and Danielle's more Sara Evans, Miranda Lambert-like).

So, it was easy to predict that either The Swon Brothers or Danielle Bradbery would win the show but let's be honest. This show was Danielle Bradbery's to lose the moment that powerhouse vocalist Sarah Simmons was given the wrong song to sing a few weeks in a row (a problem that plagued Top 5's Amber Carrington as well thanks to Adam Levine). Bradbery, on the other hand, worked in tandem with Blake Shelton and picked great song after great song. The kind of songs that showed off her natural, effortless twang (Blake and The Swon Brothers also chose great songs). To be fair to Usher and Michelle Chamuel, they picked very strong songs for her too and in the end, she was my 2nd favorite and ended up placing second to Danielle. In a first for the program, the entire Top 3 seem destined for some sort of success in the industry, something the show needs.

Bradberry wins a UMG Record deal (not Republic as in years past) so it'll be interesting to see which UMG label in Nashville (UMG Nashville, Show Dog-Universal or Republic Nashville) she lands on or if the time is right for an Interscope or other UMG-branded label to start up w/her as their first artist…Whatever the case, Bradbery seems destined to be a star, and the Swon Brothers seemed destined to be signed as does Chamuel, who will likely be signed to either a UMG pop/rock label or Usher's own label. Finally, I can totally picture Amber "Carrie Underwood" Carrington getting a shot in Nashville too. Her problem will be who she looks/sounds a lot alike and whether there's enough room on the labels here for another big-voiced female artist.
