Since bursting onto the music scene with his Top 5 hit "Did It for the Girl," Greg Bates has been winning over country music fans left and right. While he is only two singles deep into his debut album, the newcomer is already looking ahead to the future and what the next chapter holds.

"We're back in the studio working on new stuff," Bates reveals to Roughstock. "We're excited for new music."

While fans are already familiar with Bates from "Did it for the Girl," as well as his current single "Fill in the Blan," he says they can expect to hear a similar theme throughout the new songs, but they will also show the growth from being on the road and from life that he has experienced in the recent years.

"The new songs are going to be a little bit different, but they're still going to be me," notes Bates. "As artists, we're always trying to develop and progress. It's fun. They are newer songs that I've written, probably in the past year. I feel like a different person now after being on the road for two years now. It's been a fun time out there, so it's fun to kind of bring that back to the writing room and write from different experiences."

This summer, Bates will continue to hit the road hard, opening shows for the likes of Love and Theft, Darius Rucker, Brett Eldredge, Trace Adkins, Kip Moore and others. Visit www.gregbatesofficial.com for a complete list of dates where the rising star will be.
