Kenny Chesney fans get ready for an exclusive heart-to-heart interview on May 13 with the one and only Katie Couric. Chesney will visit her show for close to the entire program where he will discuss many things including his new album, Life On A Rock, which hit stores at the end of last month, as well as his new Blue Chair Bay Rum line, his dedicated work ethics, career acheivements and the things that matter most to him in life.
“Katie is so smart, and so good,” Chesney says. “When you talk to her, you can tell she doesn’t just understand, she gets it, and that makes you want to really talk to her. That kind of interviewing is rare, and I’m so glad we were able to make it happen.”
In addition to Chesney's appearance on the show, the program will also feature two segments of First Responders in the Boston Marathon Bombing and a mother/daughter who were both injured, focusing on Chesney’s Spread The Love Fund. “Meeting the firemen and policemen, EMTs and the doctor who was running the Marathon and broke through the police barricade to treat the injured was really a profound perspective giver," notes Chesney. "You look at those people, who didn’t think about their own safety, but helping others – and you realize what a hero really is!”
Chesney will also perform a stripped down version of the album's track, "Spread the Love."
