Opry To Kick Off 2013 CMA Fest Week; Carrie Underwood To Celebrate 5th Anniversary as Opry Member

The Grand Ole Opry announced today that Kellie Pickler Rascal Flatts and Keith Urban, as well as Lennon and Maisy Stella from ABC TV's "Nashville" will hit the stage Tuesday, June 4, as the Grand Ole Opry Kicks off the CMA Music Festival week with Two star-packed shows.

The Opry's fun will start earlier in the afternoon with an Opry Plaza Party which will feature a performance "I Drive Your Truck" singer Lee Brice, whose new single "Parking Lot Party" figures prominently into the show's set list. Lee's friend and frequent co-writer Tyler Farr will open the show.

Other opry performances for the week include Carrie Underwood celebrating her 5th anniversary as a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Mel Tillis and Charley Pride are two of the announced performers for this June 7, 2013 performance.

Rascal Flatts announced yesterday that they're heading back into the studio to work on their third album for Big Machine Records. The album will be produced by Grammy nominee Howard Benson, best known in the rock world for producing Platinum artists Daughtry, Linkin Park, Bon Jovi, Gavin DeGraw, Hoobastank, Creed, and Kelly Clarkson, among many others.
