Florida Georgia Line “Cruise” Sells 151,000, Blake Shelton’s “Boys ‘Round Here” sells 110,000 to lead country digital singles sales. Danielle Bradbery of The Voice debuts in Top 10 with “Maybe It Was Memphis.”
Most of the top 5 songs this week didn’t change, but the placement of a few tracks have. Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise” (which includes the remix w/nelly in these sales numbers). remains the best selling Digital Country Single of the week and sales alone make it a Triple-Platinum digital track (we say ‘sales alone’ because the RIAA now certifies digital tracks based on streams on youtube and other digital stream places as well, sales or not). Blake Shelton’s track with the Pistol Annies and his teams from The Voice sits at #2 this week with an 11% sales increase. Shelton has now sold 611,000 copies of the single with Platinum sales well within sight.
Last week’s #2 single “Wagon Wheel” from Darius Rucker, sits at #3 this week with sales now nearly 1.1 million strong. The single also is the #2 track on Country Airplay radio charts this week, behind Florida Georgia Line’s “Get Your Shine On.” Tim McGraw and Taylor Swift’s “Highway Don’t Care” is a certified hit with sales now at 842,000 strong. The single gained 11% in sales over last week. Rounding out the Top 5 Digital Country Singles this week is Luke Bryan’s “Crash My Party” which is back in the Top 5 after a pair of weeks just outside at #6.
Miranda Lambert’s “Mama’s Broken Heart” & Florida Georgia Line’s “Get Your Shine On” nearly Platinum. The Voice’s Danielle Bradbery makes her debut with “Maybe It Was Memphis.”
With sales of 58,000, Miranda Lambert is nearly Platinum with her Kacey Musgraves-penned Radio Airplay #1 hit “Mama’s Broken Heart.” Just out of the Top 5, she sits at #6 on this week’s Digital Country Single Sales Chart. Right behind Miranda is Florida Georgia Line with their nearly Platinum single “Get Your Shine On,” a song which surpassed “Mama’s Broken Heart” as the #1 Country Airplay single last week. The duo moved 56,000 copies of the track this week. Hunter Hayes remains at #8 this week with the six week-old, Top 20 radio airplay hit “I Want Crazy.” Hayes has sold 328,000 copies of the track to date. The Voice’s 16 year old Team Blake member Danielle Bradbery became a front-runner last week after performing “Maybe It Was Memphis.” She was rewarded with sales of nearly 50,000 copies of the track. Each sale counts as a vote for the singer as well. Lady Antebellum’s recent Country Airplay #1 hit “Downtown” sits at #10 this week with sales of 781,000. The track is from this week’s best-selling album in America, Golden.
Kenny Chesney’s “Pirate Flag” Gold, Hunter Hayes “Wanted” Triple Platinum, Lady Antebellum “Need You Now” Riser of the Week and 6x Platinum.
While Mother’s Day sales affected the Country Albums sales chart, the Top 30 Digital Singles chart also saw some movement (and likely next week will see more with iTunes Gift Cards being redeemed). Notable tracks outside the Top 30 include Kenny Chesney’s now Gold-eligible “Pirate Flag.” The single has sold over 516,000 downloads while Jason Aldean’s “1994” has now sold 401,000 copies and while it’ll likely hit Gold, that song’s lack of Top 10 Airplay success pretty much ensures it’ll be a long road to Platinum if it ever reaches that mark. Jake Owen’s “Anywhere with You” rises up the chart again this week with sales now over 356,000. Randy Houser surpasses 200,000 sold with “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight” while Lauren Alaina debuts at #25 with “Barefoot and Buckwild.” The single sold nearly 20,000 copies in just 3 full days in the iTunes store. Hunter Hayes “Wanted” surpassed the Triple Platinum sales mark, giving the young Atlantic Nashville star over 3,000,000 downloads of “Wanted.” Finally, our riser of the week this week is Lady Antebellum whose “Need You Now” rode an iTunes sale the week of Golden’s release to give the trio the #30 slot with their Grammy-winning, multi-genre hit.
