Lady Antebellum's "Golden" is their 4th chart-topping album for the Soundscan (and Billboard) Top 200 Album Chart while new recordings from Pistol Annies, Nashville’s Soundtrack, Now Country Party, Craig Campbell, Lenny Cooper and Mickie James also debut.
168,000 fans took home Lady Antebellum’s Golden this week with the trio scoring their third-consecutive All Genre #1 debut. They’re followed on this chart this week by Pistol Annie’s Annie Up, a critically-acclaimed sophomore album debut from the trio. Last week’s #1 album, Kenny Chesney’s Life On A Rock slides to #3 and has now sold over 201,000 copies in two weeks. Blake Shleton’s nearly-Gold scanning album Based On A True Story... sits at #4 while The Music of ABC’s Nashville Soundtrack Season 1...Volume 2 debuts at #5. The album features “Ho Hey” amongst its 11 tracks.
Florida Georgia Line Lead Second Half of Top 10 with Here’s To The Good Times.
With sales over 601,000, Florida Georgia Line’s debut album is a smashing success with two #1 Platinum (or multi-platinum) singles featured on the album and a future one (“Round Here”) joining it. Their labelmates The Band Perry are next on the chart with sales now at 298,000 total. Alan Jackson rebounds up two to #8 with Precious Memories Volume II having a 106% sales increase over last week with sales now at 148,000 for the Gospel Hymns colleciton. Sitting at #9 this week is Luke Bryan’s Spring Break...Here To Party collection. The album has now sold 395,000 copies. Finally, at #10 is the Now That’s What I Call Music series “Now Country Party” collection. It sold over 13,000 copies last week alone.
McGraw’s Two Lanes Of Freedom makes a move; Mickie James, Lenny Cooper, Craig Campbell debut. 14 of Top 40 albums in Hot 200 Albums chart are Country Music Albums.
Notable albums on our chart rundown this week include Tim McGraw’s Two Lanes Of Freedom, the album has now sold 312,000 copies while Carrie Underwood’s Blown Away is just under 1.5 million sold. Craig Campbell moves 5,000 copies of Never Regret as the album’s debut single “Outta My Head” sits at #30 on the Country Airplay Radio chart while Randy Houser’s How Country Feels has now moved 89,000 copies. Lenny Cooer’s Mud Dynasty debuts in the Top 200 of the chart this week while Mickie James debuts in the Top 55 of the Country Albums chart this week with her eOne debut Somebody’s Gonna Pay. Dailey & Vincent debut on the chart at 197 with Brothers of the Highway, their latest album for Rounder records. They sold, 2,000 albums.
The coming week’s chart will feature a string of new albums including George Strait, Trace Adkins, and Jason Boland & the Stragglers’ latest efforts.
