The fans came through for Kellie Pickler on ABC's Dancing With The Stars, as the Country Music star and her professional dance partner Derek Hough were awarded the mirror ball trophy and the title of Dancing With The Stars Season 16 champions on last night's highly-anticipated two-hour season finale. Pickler was shocked and at a loss for words as host Tom Bergeronannounced her as the season's winner, exclaiming "This is amazing! Oh my God!"
Kellie Pickler is the first Country singer to win Dancing With The Stars as well as the first to make it to the finals. DerekHough is the show's first professional dancer to win the competition four times, and is the only pro to win the competition more than twice. His sister, Country singer and former DWTS pro Julianne Hough (to whom Len Goodman compared Pickler in her final competitive routine) has won the competition twice, as have Cheryl Burke, Mark Ballas, and Kym Johnson.
Finishing behind Pickler were Zendaya in second place, Jacoby Jones in third, and Aly Raisman in fourth. The finale also included a performance by Country Music legend and Season 16 contestant Wynonna Judd, who sang "I Want to Know What Love Is."
Roughstock congratulates Kellie Pickler on her well deserved DWTS victory. Did you follow the past season of Dancing With The Stars?
