“I can’t believe I’m marrying a Kennedy,” Liles laughed when sharing news of their engagement to Roughstock. Liles had one of his closest friends – Justin Ross Ward – set up cameras along the beach prior to asking Kennedy to be his bride, that way he could capture every moment, including the photograph above which the singer shared exclusively with Roughstock.
The couple were set to dine at Fresh Catch Bistro on the beach, but Liles called ahead and had the restaurant tell them that their table wasn't quite ready, that way the two could stroll along the beach to kill some time. Once their feet hit the sand, Kennedy saw the cameras and asked what they were doing. "When we got closer, I got down on my knee and asked her to be my queen forever, as tears came down both of our faces," Liles recalls to Roughstock. Liles asked Kennedy's mother and three siblings for their blessing last weekend. The couple are planning their wedding for May of next year.
