As far as content for the project, Pickler says she allows her emotions and feelings dictate the direction in which the project takes.
"I'm just writing what I feel when I feel it," explains Pickler. "I do my best when I'm just myself, and I write from an honest place. I think that's what country music is all about. I think that's what makes our format so special, because behind every country song there's a story ... a real story. People identify with the truth. That's all you've got to do when you write a song. All you've got to do is put down what's in your soul. Put it down on paper -- bam -- there's your song. It doesn't always have to rhyme."
Pickler's next album will be her first release with new label home, Black River Entertainment. Fans can keep up with Pickler on "Dancing With the Stars" each week when the show airs live on Mondays on ABC.
