Hayes has already topped the country singles chart one other time in his career with his previous hit, "Wanted." The new No. 1 gives the 21-year-old star back-to-back chart-topping songs. Like his first two singles, "Somebody's Heartbreak" was penned by Hayes, along with the help of BMI's Songwriter of the Year Luke Laird and Andrew Dorff.
Coming in behind Hayes on the country singles chart this week are songs by Lee Brice ("I Drive Your Truck"), Lady Antebellum ("Downtown"), Thompson Square ("If I Didn't Have You"), Chris Young ("I Can Take It From There"), Miranda Lambert ("Mama's Broken Heart"), Kenny Chesney ("Pirate Flag") and Florida Georgia Line ("Get Your Shine On").
Just outside the Top 10 is Jason Aldean with "1994" which is at No. 15 after only seven weeks on the charts. Also quickly gaining speed up to the top is Brad Paisley's new hit, "Beat This Summer," which is at No. 16 after only five weeks! Ironically, the same writer -- Luke Laird -- is responsible for Aldean (co-written with Thomas Rhett and Barry Dean) and Paisley's (co-written with the singer and Chris DuBois) hits, as well as Hayes' new chart topper.
