After years of waiting patiently for the release of their debut album, Chris Lucas and Preston Brust -- better known as the LoCash Cowboys -- will have all the reason in the world to celebrate on June 18, which is the day their self-titled project hits stores.
LoCash Cowboys will be the first album released with their new label home, Average Joes Entertainment. The duo inked their deal with Colt Ford's independent label back in December, and it has been a rocket ship ride to the finish line. The final result is Brust and Lucas' 12-track project that will offer fans a little bit of everything -- sentimental tunes about family, fun andflirtatious songs, and roof-raising smashes that hone in on the live stage presence the two stars bring night after night.
Brust and Lucas wrote or co-wrote all but two songs on the new album. Nashville's A-list songwriter and dear friend to the LoCash Cowboys, Jeffrey Steele, can be found all over the album, being responsible for seven of the tunes on the project, including previous Top 40 hit "Keep In Mind" and "Independent Trucker," which features guest vocals by the one and only George Jones.
But their own album isn't the only place where the LoCash Cowboys' songwriting credits can be found. Just in the past year alone, Brust and Lucas have been responsible for writing Keith Urban's two-week No. 1 hit "You Gonna Fly" (along with Jaren Johnston) and Tim McGraw's Top 10 single "Truck Yeah" (along with Danny Myrick and Chris Janson).
LoCash Cowboys' lead single from their new album is "Chase a Little Love," which was penned by Brust and Jaron Boyer. The tune is set to impact country radio on April 22. Look for the accompanying video to be released in the coming weeks.
