This past weekend marked a bittersweet moment for Brantley Gilbert as he put the finishing touches on his first ever headlining tour. Gilbert's Hell on Wheels Tour, which also featured Kip Moore, went out with a bang as he performed to his largest crowd to date. Over 10,000 members of the BG Nation showed up to support the country rocker on the final stop of the tour in Columbus, OH on Saturday night (4/27).
The last run of the Hell on Wheels Tour also featured a trail of sold–out arena dates including Friday night's performance in Roanoke, VA (April 26). In addition to the impressive ticket sales, Gilbert also racked up milestone records with sales of merchandise, giving the singer a feeling of accomplishment of a long journey traveled with his fans by his side.
"Man, the BG Nation really showed up this weekend to send us out with a bang," says Gilbert. "I couldn’t be more proud of everyone involved for making my first headlining tour one to remember. I can’t wait to get out on the road this summer and continue the fun."
Next up for Gilbert is his opening act slot on Tim McGraw's highly-anticipated "Two Lands of Freedom 2013" Tour. The trek kicks off this week with shows in Birmingham, AL (Thursday, May 2), Charlotte, NC (Friday, May 3) and Raleigh, NC (Saturday, May 4).
