On some days, it's hard to call what singers do for a living "work" ... case and point: the video shoot for Brett Eldredge's new single "Don't Ya."

In addition to hunting down a beautiful young lady in a house of party-goers, Eldredge and his band return to their college days of after hour shindigs and throwing a few back. Eldredge shot the video in East Nashville in an environment that was oh so familiar to the singer-songwriter.

"It looked a lot like a house I lived in when I was in college," Eldredge reveals to Roughstock. "It was like the Animal House, the movie! I lived in a party house just like that in college.

"We showed up, and there were beer bottles all around the house, but that is really what it was like," he continues to describe about the ambiance. "I’m onstage in this house where they’re having the party, and there’s this girl who I’m chasing down through the house, trying to figure out what the heck she’s doing."

Making cameo appearances in the video are Eldredge's little brother, and of course, a bunch of his college buddies. While they don't spend any time on camera, Eldredge's mom and dad also made the trek to the video shoot to see their sons in action. "When you tie all that stuff in, it makes the whole experience more special," Eldredge notes of having those closest to him on set. "You get to involve your friends and family and have a party at the same time [laughs]! It’s really cool. It’s a fun video."

Look for "Don't Ya" to make its debut here sometime later this month.
