Luke Bryan’s Spring Break...Here To Party debuts at #1 on SoundScan’s Top 200 Albums Chart with 150,000 albums sold, half of which were digital-only sales.
What started in 2009 as just a simple, fun EP of Spring Break-themed songs has now turned into a ‘cash cow’ of sorts for Luke Bryan as he combines tracks from the previous EPs for his chart-topping Spring Break...Here To Party album for Capitol Nashville. Tha album sold nearly 150k albums in its first week, all of this based on Luke’s star power alone as there is no radio single from the album. The album is Luke Bryan’s first-ever #1 album on the Billboard and SoundScan Top 200 Current Albums Chart and the best opening-week of his career. Sitting at #2 this week is Florida Georgia Line with Here’s To The Good Times. The album has achieved it’s highest Billboard/SoundScan Top 200 chart placement this week at #7. The record is closing in on Gold. The third best-selling Country album this week is Taylor Swift’s Red. The album has now moved 3.5 million albums since last fall. Tim McGraw’s Two Lanes Of Freedom sits at #4 and surpassed 200k sold this week (213k total). Rounding out the Top 5 this week is Little Big Town’s 700k-seller, Tornado.
Ashley Monroe’s sophomore album “Like A Rose” Debuts in Top 10 of Roughstock’s Top Current Country Albums Chart.
Hunter Hayes’s self-titled debut continues its march towards Platinum with “Somebody’s Heartbreak” and “Wanted” continuing to suggest fans are still getting to know the album while the #6 album this week, Jason Aldean’s Night Train has now moved nearly 1.2 million albums. Carrie Underwood sits at #8 this week (#40 overall on SoundScan’s Top 200 Albums Chart) on the chart and has now sold over 1.3 million copies of Blown Away while the #9 album this week is Luke Bryan’s Platinum-plus 2011 album Tailgates & Tanlines. Sitting at #10 this week is Pistol Annies band member Ashley Monroe’s Warner Brothers Records debut Like A Rose. On the strength of great press the album sold nearly 11k in its first week on the charts.

Emmylou Harris/Rodney Crowell’s Old Yellow Moon album continues to move copies and has move 26k in just two weeks while Gary Allan’s Set You Free and Eric Church’s Chief continue to sell thousands of albums each week with Allan’s recent release now over 229k in five weeks on the charts. Top Alternative Country/Americana band Son Volt moved a nice amount of albums for their critically-acclaimed Honky Tonk album (7k worth) while Kip Moore rounds out our rundown this week with his Up All Night record, which has sold 305k to date.
