Emmylou Harris Charged For Hit And Run Accident In Los Angeles

On January 30, the Los Angeles County District Attorney charged Country Music legend Emmylou Harris with a misdemeanor hit-and-run.  According to the charge, Harris failed to exchange information with a driver with whom she collided on the 405 freeway on October 1, 2012. Read on to learn more.

On January 30, the Los Angeles County District Attorney charged Country Music legend Emmylou Harris with a misdemeanor hit-and-run.  According to the charge, Harris failed to exchange information with a driver with whom she collided on the 405 freeway on October 1, 2012.  Her lawyer has entered a "not guilty" plea on her behalf.

At the time of the accident, Harris' representative stated that she "unintentionally rubbed bumpers with another vehicle" and left the scene not realizing that the vehicles had made contact.  No further comment has been offered on Harris' behalf at this time.  If convicted, she could face up to six months of jail time.
