This week's weekly single recap focuses on 10 new or newish singles from stars like Kenny Chesney, Parmalee's sophomore single, Katie Armiger's latest off of her break-out album, Fall Into Me, Kelly Clarkson feat. Vince Gill, Holly Williams, Brett Eldredge's latest hit "Don't Ya," and songs from newcomers Sweetwater Rain, Jon Wolfe, Tobacco Rd Band, and last but not least, Tate Stevens with his Pepsi Commercial single "Holler If You Hear Me."

Parmalee - "Carolina" (Stoney Creek Records)

Another winning effort from one of Country’s fastest rising acts. The harmonies are nothing short of incredible!

Kenny Chesney - "Pirate Flag" (Blue Chair/Columbia)

Can’t say it’s his best. Can’t say it’s his worst. I guess I am just kind of ambivalent. I have a feeling his sold out crowds this year are going to love it!

Katie Armiger - "Playin’ With Fire" (Cold River Records)

The production on this is hip. She gives a smoldering reading to the song, which might very well be the one to break her.

Jon Wolfe - "The Only Time You Call" (Fool Hearted/ILG/Warner Nashville)

An impressive performance. It has a definite 80s vibe, and sounds like one of Conway Twitty’s performances from that era. Wolfe is a star. You read it here first!

Holly Williams - "The Highway" (Georgiana Records)

Holly Williams offers a moody and introspective performance on this record, one that might be a little too deep for mainstream radio – but she’s well worth seeking out. A vocal that will knock your socks off!

Brett Eldredge - "Don’t Ya" (Atlantic Nashville)

Bouncy, bubbly, and charisma-filled. A groovin’ performance that is perfect for springtime.

Sweetwater Rain - "Starshine" (Curb)

A planitive and yearning vocal with a pop arrangement that only seems to underscore the country edges in the vocal.

Kelly Clarkson Feat. Vince Gill - "Don’t Rush" (19/RCA/Columbia)

One of those songs that makes you glad you’re in love – if you are. If not, it might leave you yearning for that special one even more. A fabulous vocal from Ms. Clarkson with superb harmonies from Vince Gill.

Tobacco Rd Band (Feat. Colt Ford) - "That’s Country" (Nine North)

Though the lyrical content is nothing new, I have long been a fan of lead singer Eric Durrance, who turns in a winning performance.

Tate Stevens - "Holler If You’re With Me" (Syco/RCA Nashville)

The X-Factor’s winner releases a [Pepis promo] single with plenty of personality and fire that will please his fans. A perfect song for Saturday night. He’s the real deal.
