Tim McGraw Debuts at #1 with Two Lanes Of Freedom. Grammy Awards Help Album Sales This Week, Likely Next Week Too.
The only thing keeping Tim McGraw from a #1 album this week on the SoundScan Top 200 Albums Chart was a pesky romantic album from Josh Groban. Still, Tim’s #2 debut with Two Lanes Of Freedom still moved over 107,000 copies its first week, out-pacing his last album - last year’s Emotional Traffic - by 39,000 copies. Sitting at #2 this week is Taylor Swift’s Triple Platinum Red while the past two week #1 album, Gary Allan’s Set You Free falls to #3 with sales totals of 165,000. The fourth best-selling album this week is Florida Georgia Line’s Here’s To The Good Times. The Republic Nashville duo has sold 295,000 copies of the album. Sitting at #5 is Hunter Hayes with his Grammy-nominated self-titled record surpassing the 600,000 sales mark.
