Since having been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year, 87-year-old Country Music legend Ray Price has kept his fans up-to-date on his condition via his official Facebook page, and he recently had good news to share.

In the following February 8 post, Price confirmed that his cancer is in remission, that he has entered rehab, and that his condition is improving.

Hi Folks, We are so happy to tell you that I am back home. I bring good news that ALL TEST REPORTS SHOW THAT MY CANCER IS STILL IN REMISSION and I am improving daily.
Janie and I want to thank all of you for your love and support. It has been your prayers that have lifted me up and carried me through this entire treatment process. YOUR VOICES HAVE BEEN HEARD IN HIGH PLACES! My doctors and treatment team just shake their heads in amazement every time I leave there with good news.
So many of you have told me that you, a close family member or friends are also battling this awful disease that attacks our bodies with a force beyond our control. It is my greatest hope that a cure will one day soon be discovered that will wipe cancer off the face of the earth.
I am now entering a physical rehab program to improve my muscle tone and rebuild my strength. I hope to see you soon when I am ON THE ROAD AGAIN.
Thanks again and GOD BLESS!. Ray Price

Price first revealed in an October 2012 interview that a cancerous tumor had been discovered while his gallbladder was being removed after a gall stone attack.  He has continued to tour in spite of his diagnosis, though it was necessary to reduce the number of tour dates.

Having first arrived on the Country Music scene in the early fifties, Ray Price enjoyed a three-decade run of Country hits, including genre classics such as "Crazy Arms," "For The Good Times," "City Lights," and "Heartaches By The Number," among many others.  He was elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1998.
