Randy Houser Is Grateful For #1 Success of "How Country Feels"

With the #1 Success of "How Country Feels," Randy Houser is quite grateful for the second chance at Country Radio success. Read on here to learn why he thinks the song was able to connect with audiences and why it was the perfect first single for his new record deal with Stoney Creek Records!

Randy Houser made history with his single “How Country Feels.” His first No. 1 hit and the debut track to his album of the same name, Radio.com sat down with the country singer to find out just why he decided to cut the song.

“When I heard it I immediately loved it, probably for the same reason that people helped it become a No. 1 song,” he said. “It’s just fun. ‘How Country Feels,’ when I heard it I immediately was like, ‘This has to be the first single we put out on this album.’”

“It grabbed me the same way it has a lot of people,” he added. “I’m very very grateful for it. It’s been really cool.”

Houser went on to explain what he thinks the secret ingredient is: “I think it’s the hook. The ‘Hair down, hair down.’ And that’s not even the title of the song,” he said.

“I think it’s more the musical hook and all those things. The guitar. It just reminds people of where they come from.”
