The melody puts the Up in Uptempo while Kimberly Perry delivers a vocal that's all attitude and sass that will have this one becoming a jam for anyone who is getting out of a tough relationship. The melody may be very 'pop-leaning' but there's a mighty fine fiddle solo that really helps set the song apart.
The Band Perry will never be considered Traditional torchbearers but when they craft songs like "Done," it's easy to see how they've become one of Country Music's fastest rising stars. Their music is accessible but identifiable and never cookie cutter. It's hard to see where "Done" - which I think is BETTER than "Better Dig Two" - isn't a huge hit both at Country Radio and on the Digital Single sales charts.
Both "Better Dig Two" and "Done" are from the family band's upcoming sophomore album Pioneer, set for an April 2013 release date.
