Taylor Swift’s Quadruple Platinum album Red sits at #1 once again this week, with 28,000 albums finding fans this week while her labelmate Tim McGraw sits at #2 with 24,000 sold. He’s now moved 178,000. Florida Georgia Line sits at #3 with Here’s To The Good Times, which gives Big Machine Label Group the Top 3 albums on this chart. Hunter Hayes self-titled debut album sits at #4 on this chart while Little Big Town sits at #5 with Tornado.
Gary Allan Surpasses 200,000 albums sold in 5 weeks with Set You Free
With 15,000 more copies sold, Gary Allan’s Set You Free has moved 206,000 copies in those five short weeks while “Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain)” from the album nears Platinum for the effort. Carrie Underwood’s “Blown Away” has now sold 1.3 million albums and is #7 on this week’s rundown while Jason Aldean’s Night Train is nearly 1.2 million. Luke Bryan sits at #9 at with nearly 1.9 million sold. Rounding out the Top 10 is Eric Church’s 1.4 million-seller, Chief.
Connor Christian & Southern Gothic Debut on Chart With “New Hometown” album.
Randy Houser leads our five noteworthy albums outside of the Top 10 with his Stoney Creek Records debut (and third record overall) How Country Feels. The album has moved 54,000 copies in a month on the charts and new single “Running Outta Moonlight” should only help the album approach 100k and beyond in no time. Lee Brice and Dierks Bentley join the SoundScan chart rundown this week with their latest albums Hard 2 Love and Home, respectively.
Self-released through their own Vintage Earth Records and distributed in the USA by Rocket Science Ventures and The Orchard, Connor Christian & Southern Gothic reamins near the top of the Billboard HeatSeekers chart with “New Hometown. Katie Armiger returns to this rundown as well with her breakout recording Fall Into Me. Also of note is the sales of Mindy McCready's Super Hits album, an album which sold 3,100 copies this week after the 1990s star passed away.
Next week we’ll see if The Mavericks and Jaida Dreyer can reach the upper level of the charts with their debut albums.
