Beer with Jesus, sways from ordinary country songs about growing up in the country in a one-horse town. However, it plays on a feeling that most country music fans can relate to, their relationship Jesus. It doesn’t matter the song references beer, it could be a glass of sweet tea, Kool-Aid or a hamburger for that matter, the purpose of the song is the same. Kudos to Thomas Rhett, Rick Huckaby, Lance Miller for writing a song that lyrically touches our soul and makes us stop to think what our conversation with Jesus would be like. The song tells a story from start to finish, a story of self reflection. For those that disagree with the song, and think it is blasphemous ... take a second listen or a third and if you allow your wall to come down you will hear the song for what it is truly worth.
