Album Review: Blake Shelton - "Cheers, It's Christmas."

Blake's first Yuletide effort features a mixture of classic Christmas songs and some fun new songs along with a brilliantly re-worked rendition of "Home." Read on to see what we think of the whole collection of Christmas Music from Blake Shelton!

The album features a classic traditional country feel with classics like "White Christmas," "Jingle Bell Rock," "Silver Bells," "I'll Be Home For Christmas," "Winter Wonderland," and "The Christmas Song" along with some newer christmas favorites like modern country classic "There's A New Kid In Town,"  a trio of new Shelton-penned songs (the track with his mom, "Santa' s Got A Choo Choo Train," and "The Very Best Time Of Year." Also included is the re-written take of "Home," a massive hit for its writer Michael Buble -and later Blake Shelton- along with the fun new track "Oklahoma Chrismtas" with Reba, a likely huge hit this holiday season on the radio dial. Another one destined to be a big holiday hit is the christmas take on "Home." the re-write fits the song and it makes a familiar song more yuletide-like and I can see it becoming a staple of the holiday season.

Blake Shelton's goal was to make a timeless album and he should consider it mission accomplished with Cheers, It's Christmas. It truly is a timeless collection of Christmas songs.
