Little Big Town’s Tornado continues to be the best-selling country record with a second week at #1 with the album which features the massive hit “Pontoon” and the rising hit title track “Tornado.” Carrie Underwood is back to #2 with Blown Away. The album was recently certified Platinum for shipments to what few retail stores still stock CDs (Best Buy, Target, Walmart, Hastings, etc.). Luke Bryan’s Tailgates & Tanlines remains in the Top 5 this week with Hunter Hayes from Hunter Hayes and Chief rounding out the Top 5 this week (they’re also the only abums to sell 10,000 copies or more.
Blake Shelton, Jerrod Niemann debut in Country’s Top 10 With New Albums.
Blake Shelton is the first superstar act out of the gate with their first full-length Christmas album this year as he unleashes Cheers, It’s Christmas. Scotty McCreery and Lady Antebellum will follow in successive weeks with their own Christmas collections. All three are sure to be big sellers the next three months. Zac Brown Band’s Uncaged is the #7 best-selling country recording and the Southern Ground Artists flagship act has now sold 545,000 copies. Josh Turner’s Live Across America jumps back into the Top 10 with the Cracker Barrel exclusive live CD (it’s also available digitally) has now sold 43,000 copies. Jerrod Niemann’s Free The Music debuts at #9 with only 7,000 sold given that he debuted at #1 with Judge Jerrod & The Hung Jury in 2010 (thanks in large part to the huge hit “Lover Lover.” Easton Corbin rounds out the Top 10 this week with his own sophomore album, the three-week-old All Over The Road.

Dwight Yoakam’s 3 Pears continues to have modest sales success while Kenny Chesney nears Gold with Welcome To The Fishbowl. Jake Owen’s Endless Summer EP takes a drastic slide on the charts with a 75% sales decrease. However, it’s not out of line with similar sales #s for similar EPs from artists like Dierks Bentley and Luke Bryan. Florida Georgia Line continues to inspire fans to seek out their own EP in front of their December 4 full-length album bow while Justin Moore rounds out the rundown this week with sales less than 50,000 away from giving the Valory Record Company artist his first Gold album plaque.
Note: Scotty McCreery Clear As Day, Love and Theft Love And Theft, Chris Cagle Back In The Saddle, Edens Edge Edens Edge all sold around 1,000-2,000 copies this week while Blackberry Smoke has now sold 51,000 copies of their CD The Whippoorwill.
