Country Chart News - The Top 30 Digital Singles: The Week of October 31, 2012: It's All About Taylor Swift

Between Taylor Swift's tracks from Red and a few tracks from ABC TV's "Nashville," Big Machine Label Group owned the Top 30 Digital singles as only 3 of the Top 15 didn't belong to the label group. Read on to see the whole report - which doesn't include "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."

Taylor Swift dominates The Top 30 Digital Country Singles chart this week with 9 singles inside the chart but only 8 of them from RED and the title track, “Begin Again” and “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” are absent from the chart.

Five of the Top 10 singles this week belong to Taylor Swift with “I Already Do,” “All Too Well,” “Stay Stay Stay” landing at #’s 1, 3, and 5 respectively. Standing tall at #2 is Florida Georgia Line with “Cruise” and at #4 is Carrie Underwood with “Blown Away.” With “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together not on this chart, it’s possible Carrie Underwood could take #1 on the Top Country Songs chart which charts all streaming, sales and airplay into one chart.

Taylor Swift and Tracks from Nashville TV Show Dominate Top 10.

While “Nashville” isn’t quite the Top 10 TV success that ABC and country music had hoped, it is finding an audience with its songs as the Sam Palladio/Clare Bowen duets “Fade Into You” and “If I Didn’t Know Better” are both in the Top 10 at #6 and #10, respectively. Hunter Hayes’ “Wanted” (now crossing over to Pop/AC charts) sits at #7 while Taylor Swift’s “Treacherous,” and “Starlight” are #8 and 9 respecitvely.

Taylor Swift Dominates Digital Singles Chart with 11 New tracks.

we expected Taylor Swift to dominate with Red tracks and she does. Nashville’s pair of Charles Esten duets with stars Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere also show strong with “No One WIll Ever Love You” debuting at #13 while “Undermine” is at #16 - up 5 slots this week and one of three Top 30 tracks, the other Hayden Panettiere’s “Telescope” and Swift’s “Ronan” to experience sales gains this week.  “Telescope” has this week’s biggest rise with a 14 slot jump from #43 to #29. It’s the only official song from the show to be released to radio and likely will be a hit there as well. Lennon and Maisy Stella - who play Connie Britton’s daughters on “Nashville” debut on the chart at #59 with their version of “Telescope.” The sisters are daughters of Canadian Can You Duet veterans The Stellas.

It’s possible “Begin Again,” “Red,” and “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” will return to the chart rundown next week so be on the lookout.
