The Country Music Association (CMA) and ABC has announced the first crop of performers for the 46th Annual CMA Awards and it looks like the show will pull out all the stops to bring the current A-listers to the table.

Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Kelly Clarkson and Little Big Town are all scheduled to take the stage on November 1, 2012. Jason, who won the CMA Album of the Year with My Kinda Party last year, will likely perform a new song from Night Train while Kelly, who shared the Vocal Event of the Yearwith Jason for "Don't You Wanna Stay," will either sing "Mr. Know It All" or a new country single from her album. She was nominated - somewhat surprisingly - for Female Vocalist of the Year

Dierks Bentley is up for "Album of the Year" for Home, Single of the Year  and Song of the Year" for "Home" and Little Big Town is up for Single of the Year and Video of the Year for "Pontoon" and Vocal group of the Year.

More artist performances will be announced in the next few weeks with most artists nominated likely to perform with a few out of genre special guests also appearing as performers or award presenters.
