Country Chart News: Top 30 Digital Singles: The Week of July 18, 2012

This week we have two singles go gold (Little Big Town, Kenny Chesney) while Toby Keith and Luke Bryan score their Double Platinum certifications. As big as that news is, the bigger news is the dominace by Zac Brown Band on the whole Top 30. Read on to find out all of the details here!

The Top 30 Digital Singles chart is dominated by Zac Brown Band with 4 tracks from their new album Uncaged and “Chicken Fried” landing inside the chart.

For the fourth week in a row, the Top 5 singles on our chart rundown stay the same as we find Little Big Town’s Pontoon leading the way once again with another 84,000 singles sold. The lead single from the Just-announced Tornado album has now officially sold over 500,000 singles, giving the quartet their fastest-rising Gold single to date. It’s all but a shoo-in for Platinum at this point. Behind them is their label mate Luke Bryan with “Drunk On You.” The single has sold 1.6 million singles to date while Kenny Chesney also scores another Gold single this week as Come Over sold 66,000 singles to bring his sales to 560,000 total. Gold and soon to be platinum single “Wanted” is up one slot this week as Hunter Hayes also made big gains on the Album sales chart this week. Eric Church’s “Springsteen” rounds out our top 5 this week.
 

Love And Theft “Angel Eyes” Leads Second Half of Top 10 Digital Singles

With a five slot move this week, Love and Theft score their first Top 10 digital single with Angel Eyes now also in the Airplay Top 10 (The second one of the duo’s career after 2009 hit “Runaway”). Right behind them is Dierks Bentley with his nearly Gold single “5-1-5-0.” The sngle has now moved 423,000 copies and is roughly two-to-three weeks away from the feat. Gloriana’s Gold-certifed Top 10 breakthrough single “(Kissed You) Good Night” is next with sales now at nearly 600k. Tim McGraw’s “Truck Yeah” sits at #9 this week with two week sales now at 93,000. Eli Young Band’s “Even If It Breaks Your Heart,” this week’s airplay #1 has now sold 731,000 singles to date.

Uncaged Chart Domination by Zac Brown Band

Five of the #11-30 singles belong to Zac Brown Band with “Day That I Die,” one of four tracks from #1 album Uncaged on the tally, leading the way at #11. The song found 32,000 fans wanting to take home the track which features Amos Lee. the band’s lead single from the album, “The Wind” sits at #22. The band’s debut hit “Chicken Fried” remains a top-seller this week right behind “The Wind” at #23. “Island Song” is at #27 while #30 finds “Jump Right In” rounding out this week’s releases.  

Toby Keith & Luke Bryan Score Double Platinum Hits

Toby Keith’s “Red Solo Cup” Scored the star his first ever Double Platinum single certification while Luke Bryan can say the same thing as his groove-filled “Country Girl (Shake It For Me)” crosses the same plateau. One other notable single this week is Republic Nashville’s newest signee, Florida Georgia Line, with their 116k seller “Cruise.” The single will go for official radio adds in a couple of weeks.
