Colt Ford Radio Event Cancelled For Public Safety Reasons

Country music's resident plain-spoken wiz Colt Ford recently was set to appear at a radio-sponsored event when it was determined that due to the demands of fans and a lack of venue capacity, the best course of action was to postpone the event. Read on to learn more about the story here.

Word came out early this afternoon that an acoustic free show for Charlestown, MD radio station WXCY with Average Joes Entertainment star Colt Ford was cancelled after concern for Public Safety.

There was an overwhelming amount of demand to attend the show and WXCY issued a statement to listeners that reads:
“WXCY and The Wellwood Restaurant have postponed the Colt Ford performance for PUBLIC SAFETY REASONS. The show was supposed to be an acoustic event which has grown out of control and the venue is not capable of handling the expected crowds. Please know, WXCY along with Colt are actively working to find a new location, with a date and time to be announced.”

Ford was equally as disappointed as his fans, but understands safety must come first. A concerned Ford posted a video to his fans explaining the reasons for the postponement. Ford expresses his concern and says, “ I don’t want anyone to get hurt at my shows. I want everyone to have fun, so I promise you, we are finding a bigger place. Another venue and I will be back!”

Colt Ford recently released "Back" to country radio in support of the upcoming album Declaration of Independence. The album is set to be released on August 7, 2012 and you can watch the music video for the single here and read our review here.
