Colder Than A Bad Girls Heart

(Chris Young/Byron Hill/Billy Yates)

What I like about this song is the energy that it brings to the stage.  Its straight honky tonk groove gets the blood pumping and the walls shaking to get everyone in the room ready to have a blast.

When You Close Your Eyes

(Trent Tomlinson/Dennis Knutson/Mark Kerr)

- I loved laying this track down in the studio.  Pure “Magic”... Playing this song night after night makes me feel like I have achieved something very special to help make this album what I knew it could be.

The Upside Of Down (Click To Listen in New Window)

(Tony Ramey/Michael White)

I picked this song to be my first single because I think this song best represents me as an artist.  It is C-O-U-N-T-R-Y, but so am I.  I will never forget my roots and where I come from.   The message in the song is very inspiring to me.  It doesn’t matter how low you can get in life, no matter what the situation, if you are persistent and keep working you will always come out on the Upside.   Makes you want to open up a cold one, sit back, and prop your feet up with a big ol' smile on your face.

Angel In A Hurricane

(Dean Miller/Tony Ramey/Kris Gordon)

At the time that I wrote this song I felt like I was living in a hurricane.  Things were just not going my way.  It seemed like I was fighting an insurmountable headwind and there was no end in sight.  I met this particular person and she lifted my spirit up and helped me see the light at the end of tunnel once again.  I wrote this song for her.

Flirtin' With Me

(Jason Blaine/Willie Mack)

This song is pretty self-explanatory.  Who doesn’t like to flirt a little?  Its rockin’ guitar, tasteful fiddle licks, and catchy lyrics help make it what I think will be a hit for me.  It’s a song that makes you want to just get up and shake it.

Don’t Let Go Tonight

(Dean Miller/Tony Ramey)

I’m just a sucker for ballads.  Even through the struggles that you go through in a relationship, you know that you still care or you wouldn’t be arguing in the first place.  Sometimes you have to go through that to realize how much that person does mean to you, and to not let go of how you both feel for each other.

She Does It For Me

(Marla Cannon-Goodman/Brian Davis/Ed Hill)

To me the live show is so important in being successful.  If you can put on a great show and sing in key you’re golden.  This song is a definite crowd pleasure in my show.  An up-beat straight 4/4 song that drives in the chorus.  What can be better than that?

How You Lose A Woman

(Noah Gordon/Lance Miller/Wade Kirby)

The melody of this song is what catches me on this tune, as well as the harmonies.  I didn’t write this song but I always say this song was written about me.  It sends a great message that you better keep yourself in check or you will eventually lose who you’ve worked so hard for.

Calling My Name

(Trent Summar/Brett Eldredge/Jay Knowles)

When you are a single bachelor, like myself, it’s nice when you do fall for someone.  Just like in this song, everything changes.  You start singing a new tune and love starts calling your name.  Maybe one day I’ll find that againJ

The Fool Inside Of Me

(Dylan Altman/Brian Davis)

I tend to sing songs about everyday life and this is just that.  With the very cool message that this song gives, it takes me back to my college days when I didn’t always make the right choices but I sure had a good time!
