Sources: Wade Hayes Has Stage IV Colon Cancer

According to sources in Nashville, the country music singer/songwriter and often lead guitarist for other touring artists has been diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer. Read on to find out more about this terrible news.

Roughstock has learned that Platinum selling country artist was recently diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer.  The singer (who scored a string of hits in the 1990s with songs like “Old Enough To Know Better,” “The Day She Left Tulsa (In A Chevy)” and “On A Good Night”) , released an album in 2009 called A Place To Turn Around and for most of the past few years was a sideman for some of the biggest country stars in the country.

Our sources tell us that the Oklahoma native recently made it through surgery and is resting comfortably.

The cancer had spread from his colon and to his liver, after a successful surgery
On Thursday December 8, his prognosis is very good, and after healing from surgery, he will undergo six months of chemotherapy. While he is doing well, he still has a long road ahead.. Moday December 12 Update:

The Chemotherapy treatments will be handled at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

His management team said this via his Twitter:

"We've spoken to Wade's mother and she wishes to thank everyone for your prayers and support, his surgery for cancer was long and complex but went better than the surgeon had anticipated. Though recovery is difficult and painful, he is doing well. Praise God!"
