Proceeds from the weekend’s activities, which included a celebrity Motocross Ride, Concert and Sporting Clay Shoot, benefit Billy’s Place, a home for temporarily displaced children in Morgan’s hometown of Dickson, Tennessee, just outside Nashville.  The total monies raised during the two-day event will be announced in the coming days.

TRACE ADKINS TO HOST AMERICAN COUNTRY AWARDS FOR SECOND YEAR

With last year's inaguaral event deemed a success by producers and FOX TV and country artists alike, Trace Adkins returns to host what is called "the only completely fan-voted major award show" (what about the CMT Music Awards?). No matter how you frame it, this will be the second year of a show that's decidedly irreverent and 'fun' and not as 'stuffy' as some award programs can get. Tony and Emmy Award winner Kristen Chenoweth will co-host the event with Trace (which no-doubt means they'll joke about her short stature in comparison to his tall stature).
