Lady Antebellum - "We Owned The Night"

With their lead single from Own The Night - "Just A Kiss" - Spending two weeks at #1 on the charts, Lady Antebellum immediately has sent out the follow-up single "We Owned The Night" to country radio. Read on to see what we have to say and listen for yourself!

With “Just A Kiss” now the group’s latest #1 hit, they’re immediately following the tune up at country radio with the title track to their upcoming September 2011 release Own The Night. “We Owned The Night” is another step in the melodic direction of the band’s other singles, a direction that is easy to call Lady Antebellum the country music equivalent of Coldplay or U2.

Their singles are more often than not epic and while not every song is going to appeal to every person, they hit more times than they don’t with the trio most definitely in their element in romantic tunes like “We Owned The Night.”

The hook gets in your head and will stay there for days - always the sign of a good radio hit - while the band sings the lyrics with smoldering passion over Paul Worley’s swelling production. This is a very nice mainstream song that’s an immediate hit and should help set up Own The Night for a massive sales week come September.
