  • Lady Antebellum continues to sell copies of Need You Now but will lose the title of Best-selling country album released in 2010 to Taylor Swift’s Speak Now in the next week or two (with 7,000 copies separating them and Swift).
  • Lauren Alaina gained a 2% sales increase over last week’s sales and now has sold nearly 60,000 copies of her EP as “Like My Mother Does” finally hits Top 40 (and has a sweet new video too).
  • Average Joe’s Entertainment’s Kevin Fowler debuts at #19 with Chippin’ Away.
  • The interesting albums chart starts off with a look into The Civil Wars Barton Hollow. It has now sold 160,000 copies and given the band’s buzz, it might help them get a lot of Grammy Award nominations.
  • Sugarland’s The Incredible Machine  gained in sales this week, a feat joined by Thompson Square as well.
  • Texas act Micky And The Motor Cars Raise My Glass debuts at #187 on the SoundScan Top 200 Current Albums chart this week.
  • Next week check back to see where Eli Young Band debuts. We expect an 80-100,000 sales week for them as their profile is very similar to Luke Bryan, Eric Church and Chris Young’s with Gold selling singles and lots of grassroots fan interaction.
