Alan Jackson Parts Ways With Arista Nashville

After over 20 years with Arista Nashville, country music superstar Alan Jackson has parted ways with the company. The speculation will now begin on where Alan will end up as he obviously is looking to continue recording country music. We have an idea of where he'll go.

After a storybook career which has featured 35 chart-topping hits, multiple CMA and ACM awards and a Grammy Award for “Where Were You (When The World Stopped Turning)” along with millions of albums sold, Alan Jackson and his record label home since being signed in the late 1980s, Arista Nashville, have parted ways.  The amicable split was long speculated as the two albums released in 2010, Freight Train and the two disc 34 Number Ones completed his contract with Arista and parent label Sony Music Nashville.

The speculation about where the superstar will land is interesting because he has many options.  He could go the route that Martina McBride did and sign with a fledgling smaller Major label or he could do what I think he will do and record under his Alan’s Country Recrds (ACR) label in a partnership with Bigger Picture and WEA Distribution. Bigger Picture makes a lot of sense because of their success with Big Kenny, Christian Kane, Craig Campbell under their label and promotion success with those artists AND the major success with Zac Brown Band, Uncle Kracker and Kid Rock.

What do you think? Where do you think Alan will go?
