Jason Aldean Sets Release Date

With the date previously open, Broken Bow Records has chosen November 2, 2010 as the launch date for Jason Aldean's fourth Broken Bow Records album My Kinda Party.  The album features a generous 15 tracks from some of the best writers in Nashville.

“The album is named My Kinda Party because it’s totally representative of what I like and what my fans have come to expect on my records and at the ‘party’ we throw at our shows,” says Aldean. “I think the key is knowing who you are as an artist and taking it to an extreme without ripping anybody else off...it’s all about knowing what it is that sets you apart.”

Once again produced by Michael Knox, the album found Aldean able to snag some of the best material that Nashville's top writers have to offer.  Also, in choosing to do his first duet, he didn't just find anybody to do it with, he snagged one of the top pop stars of the past five or six years in Kelly Clarkson for the powerful track "Don't You Wanna Stay" and will feature the Colt Ford/Brantley Gilbert tune "Dirt Road Anthem," a tune that features some 'southern rap' (originated by Colt Ford).

Aldean’s ultra-Southern vocal style gives him an immediately identifiable sound, and the band helps set him even further apart from other country stars.

“I don’t want my records to sound like everybody else’s,” he insists. “The only way to do that is to cut it like we do…with my touring band and with an engineer that nobody else uses in Nashville, and I’m really proud of that.”
